Common Safety Training Program
The CSTP model was developed by APPEA (Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association) and is an initiative of the oil & gas industry’s CEO Safety Leadership Forum.
The CSTP prepares all new entrants by introducing them to the safety behaviours expected by the offshore oil & gas industry. This program differs from traditional safety training as it combines the development of safety skills with a practical behaviour-based program, delivered in a simulated offshore workplace.
