DESIGNED FOR:
Personnel interested in working in the construction industry, or personnel currently working in the construction industry, who currently has an induction card pre January 2007 ‘Greencard’ and need to update their training to the new WorkSafe (WA) accredited safety-training standard ‘Bluecard’.
PRE-REQUISITES: None
DESCRIPTION:
This Nationally Recognised training course, authorised by WorkSafe (WA), is designed to provide workers with a basic understanding of risks, hazard control and the legislative aspects of the construction industry with regard to Occupational Safety and Health.
As of January 2007, it is illegal for anyone to work in the construction industry without having done the compulsory accredited Construction Safety Awareness Induction training course. New regulations by WorkSafe (WA) will make this induction training mandatory for all workers, including employees and self employed persons working in the construction industry.
Workers who currently hold an induction card (‘green card’) for the construction industry will need to upgrade their knowledge with the new compulsory training, however their induction cards will be recognised as valid until January 2008, allowing an extra 12 months to update their training.
