duration of the course:
- Offshore helicopter operations and general safety
- Psychology and physiology of sea survival
- Personal protective and emergency equipment deployment techniques, lifejacket use and operation
- Helicopter abandonment procedures - surface and inverted
- Individual and group survival techniques
- Life raft operation and deployment techniques
- Personal protective and emergency equipment deployment techniques, lifejacket use and operation

DELIVERY METHOD:
3 hours of classroom theory PowerPoint presentations, including audiovisual material, practical desktop activities and discussion. 3.5 hours of practical components using specialised equipment in a series of exercises involving simulated helicopter abandonment and survival at sea.
