ERGT’s Issue Work Permits (IWP) course develops competency in the management, control, identification and communication of all work activities and safety and risks associated with work activities. As well as the understanding of isolation requirements of all energy equipment and ensuring the workplace is safe to continue normal operations.
This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for monitoring and controlling work permits within their workplace.
MSMPER300 Issue work permits - Identify need for work permits - Prepare work site for authorised work - Raise and issue work permits - Monitor work for compliance - Receive end of day report - Close work permit TRAINING STANDARD PRE-REQUISTIES MSMWHS201 Conduct hazard analysis All certifications must have been attained no more than 4 years prior to date of training. ERGT REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE There are no prior skills and knowledge required for this course. MEDICAL & HEALTH STANDARDS A medical certificate is not required for this course; however a health questionnaire and declaration of fitness will be required at course registration. Please contact ERGT for any concerns regarding completion of practical training and assessment requirements and to discuss options for reasonable adjustment. SKILLS MAINTENANCE In alignment with industry expectations and to ensure ongoing competence and capability ERGT recommends skills maintenance be conducted every 2 years.
