ERGT REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
To ensure the safety of all trainees, ERGT requires evidence of the following skills & knowledge in order to undertake this training:
Nationally recognised training in:
All training and/or evidence must be proven within the last 4 years.
This program applies a holistic approach to the training and assessment of two rescue centric Units of Competence (UoC).
Rather than undertaking these units in isolation, the ASR program integrates both into a singular workplace based emergency response scenario, where each unit is assessed in the context of a broader, all-encompassing emergency response task. This approach allows trainees to gain a greater understanding of how each UoC applies within an actual emergency response task in a complex, high risk environment. Trainees enhance their readiness for work, having already applied their skills and knowledge in an environment aligned with that in which they will ultimately be working.
There is natural progression from Applied Safety Worker to this program. ASW trainees will be aware of the full context of each preceding unit within a work setting. This allows greater clarity when extending that same skillset and applying to a rescue scenario.
