Incident Command Team Training (ICTT)

Should an emergency occur in a major hazardous facility, such as an offshore platform, a command team will assemble to manage the situation.

This team requires skills in areas such as:

  • Emergency communications,
  • Incident coordination,
  • Muster coordination,
  • Panel operation, and
  • Log keeping

The team must be able to work in high pressure situations whilst directing response teams and collecting and analysing data supplied from the field.

As part of Command Team training, personnel receive instruction in Incident Management strategy that applies to major hazard facilities and operational tools that assist in its application.

Consolidating the command team theory is exposure to real-time scenarios in a purpose built control room simulator.
