CONTENT:
It is essential that competence be demonstrated throughout the duration of the course:
- Correct identification of hazards in the workplace
- Application of organisational procedures including the correct selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Advising and reporting workplace hazards in accordance with the organisation’s requirements
- Notifying risks to a team and a supervisor in a timely manner.

DELIVERY METHOD:
Integrated classroom theory PowerPoint presentations, including audio-visual material, practical desktop activities and discussion. Integrated practical components using a range of hazard control equipment in a range of contextualised (e.g. confined space rescue) simulated work scenarios.
